 Instant Pot Hamburger Helper



Ingredients:
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 16 oz elbow macaroni
  • 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Directions:
  1. Shred cheese and set aside to allow it to come closer to room temperature. 
  2. Add the ground beef to the Instant Pot and set to sauté and cook and crumble until beef is no longer pink (about 5-8 minutes). 
  3. Add the onions and cook for another 3 minutes.
  4. Add minced garlic and cook for another 1 minute. 
  5. Add Worcestershire sauce and tomato paste and cook for another 2 minutes.
  6. Pour a small amount of the beef broth in and scrape the bottom of the Instant Pot to release any cooked on pieces at the bottom. 
  7. Then add the rest of the beef broth and add the macaroni. Stir the macaroni until it is largely submerged.
  8. Seal the lid and pressure cook on high for 5 minutes. 
  9. After 5 minutes are up, quick release the valve. Stir in the cheese until melted and mixed in.
